Empowering young people to share their stories through movement.
We are a small contemporary dance studio with big dreams. Based in Jabal Amman, our goal is to train young people to become confident and authentic storytellers. We take a holistic approach in our programs by developing technical, creative and performance skills equally.
Contemporary Amman Dance Program
Our Youth Dance Program consists of Contemporary Dance and Ballet from ages 3-12 years. We give students the space to discover the value of contemporary performance, develop their technical skills, find their creative voice and support them to manifest their individual talents. Registration for the program consists of a 50 JD monthly membership and gives access to all the weekly classes for the students age group.
Contemporary Dance
Offering the internationally recognised Rambert grades examination certification. We focus on developing creative capacities, somatic awareness and posture.
Ballet
Improve posture, strength, flexibility and musicality in an structured environment.
Dance Program
2 classes/weekFor those who are serious about dance.
Train like a professional and learn at a faster rate by taking both Contemporary dance and Ballet.

Rambert Grades is a new UK based Awarding Organisation in contemporary dance affiliated with the prestigious Rambert Dance School. The curriculum and examinations offer students the opportunity to validate their learning, evidence achievement and demonstrate ability to succeed.

Shireen Talhouni
Contemporary Dance
Trained in contemporary dance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (UK). Shireen founded Contemporary Amman after 11 years of freelance teaching to make quality contemporary performance training accessible to young people in Amman. Her mission is to empower youth to narrate stories using movement. She is one of the certified few teachers worldwide to teach the Rambert curriculum.
Shireen is a freelance Choreographer. Her latest dance work “Seasons” premiered at the Amman Contemporary Dance Festival in 2022.
Sara Nowar
Ballet
Trained in classical ballet at the National Center for Culture and Arts since the age of 6. She completed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) grade 8 examination in 2011 and has been teaching since 2013.
She is member of MISK dance company and regularly performs at festivals showcasing ballet, contemporary, and folk dance. Her latest Contemporary work “Incomplete” premiered at the Amman Contemporary Dance Festival in 2017.
